Well it was a helluva search but I finally found a wheel to work with the Goodyear GS-A Hummer tires.  APP Forged wheels offers a 3500 pound load rating which comes close to the Goodyear 4000 pound rating, looks great and is half the weight of a cast wheel.

The reduced weight translates into faster acceleration and more responsive braking.  I noticed a drastic difference immediately after leaving the parking lot. Check out the photos below and see what it takes to shoe the largest vehicle in the FLMM stable.

 

The anticipation level was high, there was much concern as to the offset and fit of a future aftermarket brake system.

What do you need to change the wheels on a 6 ton truck?  A 6 ton jack of course!

The KMC Tarantula wheel is attractive, however it doesn't have the load capacity or the ability to fit our special needs.

Check fit the wheel to ensure clearance of the brakes.
